Verbier Switzerland skiing holiday tips

Welcome to Verbier Switzerland: you have made the right choice! You are in the heart of the Alps in one of the best ski resorts in the world, with over 410 km of slopes at your feet, gorgeous sunshine, breathtaking views, and authentic chalets.

Here are some tips to get the most out of your stay.
If you have never been skiing before, we recommend taking ski lessons for at least the first 3 days. The Adrenaline ski school Verbier has options to suit every budget, including private coaching, to help you make rapid progress, and shared group lessons. This is a very flexible option, as you can join a group any day and learn together in a relaxed setting.
We recommend booking your private or shared ski lessons before you arrive, as the instructors can get booked up.

The main gondola to the slopes departs from Verbier’s nerve center is Médran. No matter where you are staying in the resort, free shuttles are available to take you to the hub.
If you don’t want to be going back and forth for your equipment, your pass, and your lessons, you should plan your activities around Médran.
The Adrenaline ski school is found at a prime location in Médran, in the Fellay Sport shop, just in front of the gondola. You can find out about your ski and snowboard lessons and rent your equipment at the same time! If you are learning with Adrenaline, you can also enjoy 15% off ski and snowboard rentals for the whole family.

Once you are all set up with equipment and lessons, you will need a pass for the slopes. You can buy passes from the Téléverbier desks just 20 meters from the shop. Now you’re ready to go skiing!

For total peace of mind, we recommend organizing your equipment and pass the night before (if you have time!), especially if you are with your family.
If you are on your own and tight on time, you can come to the shop to rent your skis from 8:30. You can then head to the desks opposite to buy your skipass, which should leave you with a little time before you need to join your group and instructor in front of the shop at 9:00.
However, if you choose a private lesson, you can select your own time slot.

Important information:

    • The Téléverbier desks are open every day from 8:30 to 16:30 and until 17:00 from mid-February.
    • The Adrenaline ski school and Fellay Sport shop are open every day from 8:30 to 18:30.
    • If you don’t want to be stuck with your equipment once you are finished skiing, you can leave your skis and boots in the heated Televerbier lockers in Medran. They cost 8.00 CHF per day, and we recommend booking your locker, especially during the school holidays.

We hope you found these tips useful and enjoy your holiday in Verbier ski resort Switzerland. See you soon!
