Hennie
Instructor
Spoken languages:
From Norway, Hennie is starting her second season with Adrenaline ski school. She teaches skiing and cross-country skiing in several languages, like in English, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.
What do you love about teaching?
I love how I am able to get to share the things I love about skiing.
Why do you like Verbier?
There are so many different people from around the world in Verbier, and we all share the love for skiing + the big ski resort with endless off-piste possibilities.
Which piste and/or off-piste do you like the most in Verbier?
When the slopes are busy, I like to go for cross-country skiing from Les Ruinettes to La Chaux. You have the whole piste to yourself and a stunning view.
Where are you based and what do you do during the summer season?
I am based in Norway during the summer season. I am a full-time student, so when I’m not working I am studying business and economics.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are skiing, ski touring, golf and hunting. When I’m not doing sports I love to hang out with friends and eat good food.
Have you ever done any sporting competition?
I have competed in cross-country skiing and biathlon on a national level in Norway.
I went to a sports high school which involved an extra subject in school where we trained for competitions and learned about nutrition and training methods. I quit competing when I was 17, but still enjoy it and appreciate the knowledge I gained about professional sports and lifestyle.
What do you ride?
I love touring to find the places you can’t reach from taking the lifts, so I ride some light all-round touring skis.
